Ever published a website created in Microsoft FrontPage/Publisher ??

Here I mean a free hosting site. How did you do the publishing part after you have both created your website in FrontPage/Publisher and created an account at some free web host.. ??

The freehost needs to allow %26quot;FrontPage Extensions%26quot; for this to work. You%26#039;d be better to learn how to FTP, but below are the steps to publishing a site with FrontPage 2000. For different versions, these may vary.

1. go to the %26quot;File%26quot; menu, then %26quot;Publish to Web%26quot;

2. In the dialog box, type the URL to your website (i.e. www.example.com/free/myaccount) (without a trailing slash, or a page name)

3. Click the %26quot;Options%26quot; button

4. Specify whether you want to publish only pages that have changed or all pages

5. click Publish

If this doesn%26#039;t work, your site or host does not have FrontPage extensions enabled. In that case, perhaps use an FTP program, or the host%26#039;s online file upload tool.

yes. In 1998.

Worst concept for an HTML editor ever.

If your host doesn%26#039;t support %26quot;Front page extensions%26quot;, then it won%26#039;t work.

Other Replys:You have to upload the files to the server. I don%26#039;t know if I did FTP at the time, or if the hosting site let me upload. It was an okay site, but needs to be redone. Its kind of oldish.
