And you have a web site

Buy domain , host it then design the web or design 1st then buy domain %26amp; host a/c clarify ?

it is not the answer for my question - not yet clarified what to do at first all are just placing a link to learn from here or there it is of no use for me i learnt a lot from articles %26amp; blogs - write personal experience dont scrumble or write something just by doing a search on search engine Report It

Other Replys:It doesn%26#039;t matter the order you buy it and the like, just how you set it up. I prefer to design first.

What you do is buy webspace or use a free host, or even use your computer as a web host (must have IIS available in at least WinXP Pro, or another web server), then buy a domain (you can actually buy a domain first) but now you setup the domain to work with your host, by pointing ip addresses known as dns servers to your host, then uploading your site to the web (preferrably by FTP). If you are using your own computer for hosting, you already have it on your computer so set the dns servers to work with your computer.

The only drawback to using your own computer is that you must have an %26quot;always on%26quot; connection to the net (aka a high-speed internet) and you really want a battery backup in case your electricity goes out.

What you do is up to you. I would buy the hosting because you can get hundreds of GBs of space and loads of traffic very cheap, usually with a 99.8% or 99.9% uptime, which means your pretty much guaranteed to always be able to access your site anytime.

Other Replys:You can register a domain, then setup web hosting. There are several hosting sites that handle both registration and hosting for you. Check out http://www.godaddy.com for some more information. You can search the domain name you want to make sure it is available. Registration fees are usually for one year and can automatically renew.

It may take a day or two for the domain to propagate to all DNS servers, so %26quot;yourdomain.com%26quot; may not be visible right away.

Other Replys:The best option is to register your domain name first, get free hosting at http://www.domain-name-register-store.co... with every domain name. They also have starter web page. So you have an opportunity to start from them free rather than design on your own taking time. So make your move NOW!

Other Replys:I would register the domain first because the domain name may end up being part of the design and you don%26#039;t want it to be gone when you try and register it later. You can register domains cheap at http://www.doggydomains.com for as little as $1.99.

Other Replys:u have to buy a domain and webhosting before someone takes ur domain name and ur full idea gets down......... so hurry up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
