What causes a web site not to load? how do i fix this?

my web site %26amp; the site thats hosts it will not load up!? what causes this and how do i fix it? i have windows xp home %26amp; mcafee 2007 for sacurity. added this just incase it matters. thanks you. :)

Maybe your servers hosts have gone down?

If not, clear your cache, cookies, temporary files, run a full system virus scan and reset your Hosts file. By the time that%26#039;s all done your host should be fixed.
